I recommend electrical for the FP gauge. If you want it inside the car, it is the way to go. I have used the mechanical gauge with isolator setup and believe me you're better off not dealing with that. The gauge attaches to the regulator or to the schrader valve on the line. It costs about $185, but is worth it. I have no problem with vibration on any of my gauges mounted in the vents so if you are thinking of that location, you probably don't need liquid filled. I do not presently have any gauges on the pillar, so I can't speak to that.
