A year and a half ago 5.0 Magazine did the first story on the intake and MAC said that it was a Edelbrock intake and they only manufactured the end cap. My guess is that it is like everything else, Edelbrock would probably sell the intake but by the time MAC figured in the expense it would retail for more than Edelbrock and what marketing sense would that make. Because in the story MAC said i would sell for $299 then when it was released on the web site it was $399. It is hard to buy something and then put your name on it and make a profit in the automotive industry. Edelbrock just wants to sell parts so they would sell 100 at a time to MAC and already make profit MAC had to make new end plates and then market the intake then try making it less then the Edelbrock and still make a profit. You see it everyday in MMFF and 5.0 magazine when you see fuel injectors for sale. 95 percent of those injectors are made by Bosch with other names and custom colors on the bodies. I visited Bosch 2 years ago and on one line they had Accell injectors being made and on another line that day a generic color injector was being made for auto part stores Same unit but some assy. people put them in different boxes after putting on the o-ring.
