The 87mm MAF might be overkill for a NA 98 GT, as something that big could be better suited for a car with a power adder. A 80mm will flow plenty, and you won't lose any air velocity. You should see a decent little power gain with a good MAF.
I have a SVO 70mm TB just because I found a guy who let it go for only $60, so I couldn't pass it up. I haven't noticed any gains, seat of the pants or at the track, but hopefully it will help when I do the heads and intake in a couple months. MM&FF just tested one on a 99+ engine, and only got like1-2HP, but picked up something like 10ft #'s of torque (I'll have to find the dyno and look at it,) so it might help a little on more powerful eninges.
