Well, the thing is that my father owns a machine shop so he built it himself. But the internals are all forged. I only paid like 319 for Eagle rods. around 500 for Ross pistons. Only 260 for Eagle Forged crank. If you are goin to build it yourself I can give you some info on who sells what the cheapest and such.. If money allows.. Please get a good intake. If I had to redue it I would only have bought a new Trick Flow intake to begin with. Have a custom cam made for your motor. Get a mass air meter..Bigger Throttle body. Good set of heads...I have a hell of a time keeping my motor cool too. So you will prob need a 3core radiator. 160 thermostat or gut out your old one(I gutted mine out).
Most shops will bore the block , dip it, put all new freeze plugs in for around 150. So in the block you could look close to 1100-1500 depending on how much you get the crank for..Another thing to watch for is on about 50% of the 347 strokers is that when you install the crank and start hooking up the rods. When you turn the crank the rod caps will hit the bottom of the cylinder wall. There is a lip that comes down from the bottom of the cylinder wall about 1/2 inch. Just have the shop chop that excess off to begin with. I had to tear mine all the way back down and cut and redip my damn motor. Good Luck
