I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one S/DWarrior. In my experience shifting manually produced better ET's. The problem with leaving it in drive is that the computer shifts at the redline which is too late because a stock GT stops making power at about 4800 RPM and then hp starts dropping off. For the launch, do a SHORT burnout and brake torque to 2200 rpm. When the third amber lights, release the brake and stand on the loud pedal. It may seem like you will red light by going on the third amber but you have anticipate the green not wait for it. My first run I waited to see the green but that got me 1.6 reaction time. Now I can consistently get in the .5's (.500 is a perfect light).
