Well...one thing that's baffling me is..If the pressure plate isn't putting full pressure on the clutch..wouldn't it therefor be slipping..at least enough where you could feel or smell it? Cuz I was possibly thinking it could be the same thing. But if it is that it seems that it would also put some kind of unusual wear on the clutch..I think, or am to assume. Nasty thing is...It was replaced by the previous owner only 2k miles before I bought the car...Unfortunatly it's almost considered brand new...well to what I would consider, without being driven hard since I've had it. And it's one of those 10.5" Centerforce Dual Friction clutches..I'm looking at jegs online..and they go for about $319. My question is...if they pull the tranny, and hafto replace the pressure plate /or plate springs have to be changed, and there is no abnormal wear on it...would it be reusable? Because I don't want someone spending $300 to buy a new clutch when I don't need it. One more thing, what would you guys advise? Going with a king kobra, or going with another Centerforce? I am also thinking I might as well have them install a new clutch cable, as It looks like it's the stock one from 1991.
