I'm waiting for the General Manager to get back to me. I've already been there this morning. Talked to the guy who sold me the car, and I talked to the sales manager.

They had me bring it to their collision center, who verified it has been hit pretty hard, and the front of the car, along with the entire drivers side had been replaced.

Here's the full report on damage that I know of.

Nose, reinforcement panel, both fenders, hood, windshield, airbags, drivers door, drivers side quarter panel, complete repaint job, frame rack, fender mounting rails have been worked on, the front frame that bolts the reinforcement panel and fender panels together has been broken loose and rewelded.

The Carfax came up with nothing. My Consumer Guide Auto Check came up with nothing. Superior Ford's service database came up with nothing. Basically, the accident wasn't sent through the proper channels, and since the car wasn't officially "totalled" none of those checks will work. I have a hard time believing $10-15k of work could have been done without the financing company (likely Ford Motor Credit) knowing about the damage.

Right now, it looks as though they are listening to me, and hopefully the General Manager will let me out. There isn't anything on their lot that I can do an exchange for, that won't cost me an arm and a leg more I don't think. I'm going to work with them as much as I can, but I think I just want out. This has not been a cool experience, but the guys at Tousley Ford are at least working with me.

As for the guys at Superior Ford, it was pretty awesome what they did for me. I had an entire team of techs and service people with flashlights looking at my car, and they started working on it the second I got it over there. It was 10:00PM. I can't say how much that meant to me. I didn't have them replace the window motor, and they had to charge me some labor, so they went ahead and only billed me a $29.99 inspection fee. Really good guys.
