Mine does the same thing, and after you mentioned the part about the MAF, I realized it started doing it on cold mornings soon after I converted over to mass air. So i'd guess it is related to that. Then again, maybe not.
I know what you mean, I kinda liked the sound too, but it is annoying having it die. I have a B cam in there now, and it idles all the time just like it did every now and then with the stock cam
But after it sits overnight, it will struggle to idle the first time i start it up and if i don't keep the RPM's up then it will die.
