There have been quite a few fires up here too. Most the time the farmers burn the ditches to clear them out for irrigating. This year it has been so dry the farmers manage to catch the fields on fire and trees and whatever is close by when they burn the ditches. I don't think they are doing it on purpose. I have already seen to out of control ditch fires where the fire department was called because the fire burned right up to natural gas tanks. That's usually not a good thing.
