Unless I've missed something, your car should not have a clutch cable. It should have a clutch pedal, a rod running from the clutch pedal to the Z arm, a rod running from the Z arm to your clutch fork. ( also a spring from your fork to the Z bar to keep the clutch rod from comming off) If the engine lifted up on the driver side,then more than likely the Z arm has come loose. There is a bracket attached to the frame with 2 bolts ,there is a nylon bearing on this bracket. There is also a stud that screws into the drivers side of the block, this also has a nylon bushing on it. the Z arm pivots between the two. You dont have to jack the engine up to replace the Z arm. Screw the stud into your block, and put the bushing on it. slide the Z arm onto this stud. place the bushing on the bracket for the other side and slie in the end of the Z arm. pivot the bracket back up to the frame and attach the 2 bolts.
