Your buddy's car is 8 years older than yours. A stock replacement would have made a difference. Also, you could be his hero by letting him know he should shitcan the platinum plugs, too. Plat's are for
NON-MAINTAINED VEHICLES. If he plans on wrenching on it, the plat's will hurt him. They can't be re-gapped, either. If he feels like welding the hood shut, tell him the plat's were a good choice.
