Hmmm...I know my car is modded somewhat, but my 2000 GT lacks no bottom end what so ever. Its a 5spd, with stock gearing, and stock suspension, but I tell you what, there's no bog at all. Its down right torquey.
No offense to anyone here with a 99+ Auto, but with the auto's you dont quite get the feeling that you do with the 5 spd cars. Proof isnt in the "Feeling" thats gotten, proof is in the time slips, and the tail lights you either show people, or they show you.
From all the Auto 99+ GT's I've raced, they seem to start straining around 50-60 MPH.
If "Feeling" was an accurate portrayl of a cars speed, then my old 64 1/2 would be able to smoke FireHawks.
