Ok, this must be an all-ford transmission/clutch/throwout bearing problem.....I had the exact same problem with my 1983 ford ranger. I replaced everything from the flywheel on back: clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, fork, clutch pedal and cable assembly, and my transmission with another ranger 5 speed but nothing seemed to help permanently. The chirp never went away longer than a month or so. Maybe it's cuz i kinda slapped ***** together with the ranger to make it run, but i don't know. hope you get it fixed!
