Your hard working, responsible son is a reflection of good parenting. He made a mistake, made it out in one piece, and you just want to be sure it doesn't happen again. It's obvious you just want to do right by him...He will be the one respecting that as an adult.
I know I do my own parent. 
Good luck on the court date, I sure would hate to see him lose his license...especially after working so hard to get there.
Maybe it will be just a good scare, one that will keep him on the right
track no pun intended
