You guys are
ALOT of help. ROFL

The car wasn't there today.. I think the lady was hot on a Cadillac or something so... I dunno if she still has it (that makes my life easier). Guess I'll see tomorrow.
2001 WS6 TA, I understand what you are saying but the thing is.. I'm not in the market for a car. I don't need another car. I have a truck, mustang and a bike. This car is just one of those deals you run across, one owner with low miles and pampered. There is no doubt in my mind that the right person would pay $17k+ for the car. Do I want to make payments until the right person comes along? I'd enjoy it, I'm sure, but its not my first choice in another vehicle, by a long shot. 5 yrs ago, maybe. Even if I kept it, its still a very good deal. It would be a great 'date car' which I really don't have right now (not real important really).
As far as performance.. If I were in the market for a Camaro/Firebird it would go kinda like this..
To keep stock= LS1
To add a blower= LT1
To add a cooler blower combo= LS1
First time I saw the hp gains to the LT1 when a blower is added, I was impressed. I believe the LT1 would be less of a hassle to work on as well. As far as a budget 400+hp f-body the LT1 is within 10hp and more than $1k cheaper in the blower department(the tq numbers are identical). The LT1 cars can be had alot cheaper, as a general rule. I don't know but I'll take a wild guess that the parts are cheaper too. So if I was going to get a GM pony car it would probably be the LT1, I like blowers

. From what I understand the aftercooler is more of a race track devise(if I'm wrong, someone please school me). I'm not going to pop the hood and add some ice or cold water to the cooler when somebody revs their engine at me.

I can see it now.. "When we get to this light, I'm gonna pop the hood and I want you to take this bucket and empty it into the cooler. Then we'll show this guy what's up!
I'd much rather have a cobra either way
Thanks for the replies guys!
