Don't forget what get's the power to the ground. Tires. With a goal of low 13's and a daily driver, I assume you'll be going to the track occasionally. Switching from 2.73's to 3.73's and from street tires to Mickey Thompson ET Streets dropped my 1/8 mile times from 9.36 to 8.78 which equates to around 13.7 in quarter. Since it's a daily driver, be careful with tires like the ET streets, rain makes for a not-too-pleasant commute. Maybe a drag radial would work better for you. I agree with what everyone else said above as well. Since your new to the Mustang community, you'll just have to go to the track, see what times you run with the car, then figure out how to get it to hook. Even with a stock car, just getting it to hook and put most of the power to the ground, you can see some really good times.
