the sway bar attempts to keep both back tires weighted equally. it tries to keep the rear end level on launch. in doing so it helps keep the car from launching all crossed up. You want your rear sway bar on there. so much so that there are accually rear sway bars avalible that will decrease you 60' times significantly.
