There is no extra maintenance with a Vortech (over any other blower). I've had mine for 3 years, with no problems at all. I change the oil/filter every 2500 miles, and change the plugs and fuel filter once a year. I wouldn't call that a pain.

As far as installation, the only issue most have with the Vortech is tapping the oil pan. Actually, tapping the oil pan is much easier than you think. Once you've done it (or seen it done) you'll know what I mean.
