Gears aren't too hard to install if you have the right tools. Jegs or Summit sells a install kit with a dial indicator and depth gauge that will do the job. It is $100. If your car is a 5-speed I would go with 3.55's or 3.73's, there isn't much difference, maybe 1-2 mpg. If it is an auto, go with 3.73's or 4.10's. Good luck. I don't think it has anything to do with the rearend being out of alignment thought unless it is seriously wrecked!
