Default Quick Motor Question

Hello,

My friend's 98 GT engine is shot and he is getting a new one that is covered by warranty. It looks like he will get a new ('99) engine for free.

I know the 99 GTs put out about 35 more HP, but I am assuming some is that from better intake/exhaust.

I am wondering how much of a gain he will see? How much would it be for the long block? How much for just the short block?

Thanks,
DoranW
