Note that many of the 99 and 2000 GTs have windsor blocks while 2001s and 2002s have Romeo blocks. Differences between the two are number of head and main bolts and some say windsor is stronger and better for more power.

Go to Also 2002 GTs apparently have different computers from all older model mustangs. Has been causing some supercharged 2002s problems with tuning. I believe it is all being ironed out now, though. I am in the same boat as Former86camaro. Always drove GM and liked stock GM power. Went to Mustang for styling and huge aftermarket. No doubt, the longevity of the mustang design has been proven. Just waiting to get the ATI procharger 10lb kit for my 2002 GT. Ain't driving fun?
