You need a 5/8" socket (wrench) to loosen the bolt on the tensioner which is round and sits just to the right of the alternator, on top of the engine, easy to access.

When you loosen the nut on the tensioner you can then rotate the tensioner and remove the belt.

Get a Motorcraft or good quality serpentine belt. They last quite awhile.

To replace the belt, you must route it according to the diagram that should be on a sticker under your hood.

Once the belt is on, pull the tensioner as tight as you can and tighten the bolt.

As long as you've routed the belt correctly, you're done.
