I dunno if the heads on the fords have exhaust crossovers... I have an olds motor and there's a crossover passage that goes through the intake from one side to the other, and if you had an EGR valve it would be on the intake.. I've seen people do all sorts of stuff to by pass this... some FILL the heads with casting material to just seal it off... some companies make metal PLUGS that fit in there and then again, technicaly if you got an intake that didnt have the passage it wouldnt let the exhaust across... it's in the worst place.. it goes right under the cab pretty much... and it heats up everything comming in... I can see how you'd want it closed up... I dunno if it'd effect emissions TOO much.. but I'm curious as to WHAT this device is
