I've known a few people who used the GM Synchromesh fluid in a T-5 without any negative results so I don't believe it would harm an already worn T-5 but as I stated in my first post, any synthetic Mercon fluid would be better.

Red Line is very high quality; you can't go wrong with any of their products.
