Unit, I never said the original GT-40s were better than the Ps. However the Ps are not anywhere near 40hp better than the original design.

I know what the guys in the racing classes are running with these heads and I can assure you these are not typical real-world results. However, the results they are acheiving are impressive.
By the way, most folks that bought the GT-40 crate motors didn't reach Ford's advertised claims of 280 or 320.
Tireburner, I have stock valves with aftermarket springs... supplied by CCM. Do you remember what the guy that ran a 12.6 trapped? I'm more interested in MPH than ET. MPH is a result of HP. ET is more typically a result of traction.
Compare Skyman and Geno. Both were trapping around 108mph on their runs but their ETs are miles apart.... just like their 60 foots.
