Well, I bought a new TPS today. After an hour of dinking around with it I finally got the readings I was looking for.... .9's. WOT was showing like 4.3.
I ended up messing with the idle screw a little bit so the blade on the throttle body wasnt screwing up my tps reading when it was bolted down. I could actually change my tps voltage by screwing the idle screw in or out. On my other TPS, when the throttle would open, the blade on top would go farther than the teeth on the tps would turn. That would cause the blade to shred through those plastic teeth and therefore ruin the tps. Well in order to keep those teeth from getting messed up, I changed the idle screw so that the blade was turned so it wouldnt do that.
Well, now my idle is too low...probably about 600 rpms. I didnt have the patience tonight...plus its getting dark, to mess with that. I filled up with 92 octane, poured some 104 octane boost in, set my timing at 16*, and disconnected the battery for a half hour. The car did seem to run better, but I'm still not getting the pull I should. I also noticed that after each shift the rpm's seem to hang for a split second before dropping. Not for long, but it's not like it should be. Any ideas? How can I fix my idle? Mess with the idle screw? Hopefully that doesnt mess up the tps reading. I guess I'll tinker some more tomorrow. This car is starting to get the best of me

...yawn.
