Byebye 351W...using 85 5.0 rebuild for now-help pick cam (inside).
Unfortunately I had to sell the Windsor , so for now I'll be using an 85 roller block rehoned (stock forged trw pistons), new rings, bearings and gaskets. I have a set of 1964-260ci heads with 54.5cc -milled to 53cc. 1.94/1.6valves ported (probably comparable to stage 2 ported GT40/P's).
Also included on this cheapo motor is an Edelbrock Torker 289 (the good one-not the Torker2) and Holley 650DP. Cheapo Summit LT headers and the rest of my old drag setup in the SIG. The car weighs probably 2500#. I have a lead on an X303 and F303 cam for an inexpensive price under $100.00...great for my budget...so no customs for me now. Would the F be a good bolt in without flycutting pistons (possible with X). I will need different pushrods for the Chevy valves and I already have the Crane spring kit with retainers and locks too. I think they are good for 520+lift...not exactly sure on the lift.
Am I correct here with the F probably degreed 4* advanced to give me some lower end torque with the C4/4.10 and also the NOS Cheater kit-114 LC.
Even this cheapo combo should scream in a 2,500#car!!
Anyone wanna take a stap at the F vs X cheapo buildup...thanks.
