Brake Booster??
I'm running an SN-95 4-wheel disc brake upgrade with PBR dual-piston calipers up front, fed by a SVO master cylinder. The pedal is hard as a rock, and I cannot physically press the pedal hard enough to lock up the brakes.
I figure that the MC is just too big for the stock booster... I've checked my vaccuum lines and they all seem to be in good shape, so I'm assuming that the stock booster is getting full vaccuum. The next logical step for me is to get a larger cobra booster.
I thought any cobra booster from 1993-1998 would do, but i was told from a rep at PPI that only the 1993 cobra booster would work with my car. He mentioned the other cobra boosters setting the master cylinder at an angle that would not work.
What do you guys think? A 1993 cobra brake booster is running for $400 from PPI... and I really can't shell out that kind of dough, and I really don't want to have to ditch my nice new SVO MC.
Have any of you used a 1994-1998 booster in a similar setup?
Anybody have a booster from their M2300K kit they want to sell?
Please help!
-John
