I prefer the Crane HI-6 myself, but don't go spending any money until you know for sure what the problem is.
It is imperative that you have the spark plug wires that are going to cylinder #5 and #6 completely separated. They can't touch each other anywhere between the distributor cap and the plugs. Buy a cheap set of separators if necessary.
The MSD is putting out a stronger signal at higher rpms than your old system was, and since #5 & #6 are sequentially fired cylinders on the same bank, there is an excellent chance for a misfire condition if the wires are allowed to contact each other.
I'M NOT SAYING THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM, but it very well could be, and it's super simple to correct.
