Powershifting is holding the gas to the floor while upshifting using the clutch. Clutchless shifting involves matching the engine speed to the speed of the main shaft (or is it the tailshaft?) of the transmission. Since your tranny is syncronized, pull it out of gear and wait for the rpms to drop to what they'd be at for the same speed in the next gear and it should pop right in. If it grinds then your either too high or too low. I never use it in bumper to bumper traffic though, too much tach watching.
