Default Summit clutch problems!

Hey guys, I got a 87 Mustang 5.0 with a Summit aluminum adjustible clutch quadrant (i think how it all goes ) Anyways since I purchased the car from the pervious owner it has had a very strong resistance to the clutch. Meaning its a pain in the butt to punch in. It seems its getting worse as well. I now have to put all of my body weight into it (I'm only a 130 pounds) and grip the steering wheel to get it in. This gets old after a while But the thing sure does come up quick!

Just wondering if I should tear the thing apart to see if its the clutch cable or what? I'm thinking its hanging.

Or I might just buy a new stock clutch but I hope it can hold my hp.

I know racing clutches are strong but this is out of control. A lot of my buddys who have driven had said somethings just not right as well as numerous mechanics. Any ideas?
