Porting your own heads can be time consuming and difficult but its worth it after you look at the cose of purchasing a set of heads. I ported my stock heads and could tell a big difference in how it breathed. I ported the Exhaust side only as well but did just a little work in the bowl to help control detonation. I could run any grade gas i wanted to with out it poping and pinging, no matter what he timing was ( reasoanble ) I highly recommend trying it yourself. You'll never learn if you dont.. If nothing else, go to the local junk yard, and tell them you want a JUNK head, that you are goin to try it on. But dont let them sell you a good head for more money. make sure its JUNK before you buy it ..
