Yes. Not as much, but it still does. When you spin in water, the car gets up on a hydroplane. But there is still some contact with the ground, which is why you will creep forward, and hear noise from the tires.
I don't know how much comes off how fast though. I personally can't resist doing that either, well that and powersliding when I hit a gutter. I'm going to end up with a ticket for reckless endagerment or Exhibition of speed for that someday.
I wouldn't be too worried about overall tread loss unless you start seeing smoke back there. They are mini burnout boxes afterall.
