Default first project plan

ok here goes.

I have A 66 stang. right now it has A straight six. now I know I have asked the question about converting it to A V8. and I have searched and searched. but can't figure out this one question.

if I converted to A V8 say A 289. I know I would have to change the motor mounts but would I have to relocate the motor mounts. like when I weld in the 289 mounts do I put them in the same place the 6 cyl mounts were. or in A different place. now I know I can get completly different answers with this question(cuz I have with people I talk to around here) so is there any way I can find out for sure and not just some guy who knows A friends dad or some one who has done this swap.

and also with A 289 in A 66 mustang how competitive would it be with these new V8 stangs and the 5.0's.

well I will be starting the swap at the begining of next summer since I have A good chance to get my body straight and painted (R-O-P) so research is not A problem in fact I would rather hints on research instead of the answer but I need to be pointed in the right direction.

thanks for all your help.
