Pullies
I'm debating about putting on pullies myself. Here are my observations based on posts that I've read. Each car reacts different with them. About 75% of the time, they will cause charging probelms and maybe overheating. With accesseries on (especially A/C), you will lose power.
I have a set of MAC's on the way to me right now. I have had one previous experience with the 93 Cobra Underdrive Crank Pulley. My car did charge below what it normally charged, mainly with headlights/foglights on at the same time. With A/C on, the car ran ok, but charges dropped drasticlly. At idle, it would basically rev itself up to keep running. I took it off in order to save my alternator and battery.
Solutions....a 130 amp upgrade is the best solution to charging problems. A 180 t-stat will help with overheating problems. Correct me if I'm wrong, but an OVERDRIVE pulley which is even smaller than stock, is available to "supposally" solve charging problems. I'm looking into this myself. If any has experiences with an OVERDRIVE pulley, please post.
