I have a major case of arachnophobia...even just reading this post has my toes curled and shivers up my spine! EWWW! Unfortunately, here in Oklahoma....spiders are EVERYWHERE. We have all the nasty indigenous arachnids we can stand. Because the weather is starting to cool down, we are being infested with wolf spiders. They are not poisonous, but they do have very painful bites that can swell up pretty bad. The worst is that, true to their names, they live and hunt in packs. They also get pretty big. We have tons of brown recluses and I don't know how many times those vile little creatures have bitten me. Black widows and tarantulas are common here, but most seen in the more wooded areas. There is an area of Oklahoma that has a tarantula migration every year....nothing but miles of tarantulas seen.....talk about CREEPY!!

Because of my severe arachnophobia, I can’t get close enough to one to squash it, so I have found that Castrol SuperClean works great to kill the little buggers!

Luckily, my 6 year old comes to mom's rescue and will squash them when I am cornered.

This topic has me totally itchy.
