The plumbing isn't very hard on an inline motor, but with a v motor, it becomes quite difficult. In terms of ease on the motor, the only negative effect from a turbo charger in terms of stress on the motor is an increase of temperature in the engine bay. That neccessitates installing a front mount or water to air intercooler. A supercharger however puts stress on the crank and basically takes power to make power. With a roots type blower, boost is instantaneous, but IMO, a centrifugal supercharger is not better than a turbo with the same size compressor. Not only does it have the drag on the motor, but it doesn't reach peak boost until close to redline where a turbo is free to spool up and would make quite a bit more mid-range power than the centrifugal supercharger and top-end with the compressor being the same size and having the same wheel.
