The cops will do that if the lights are red or blue I believe. I dont know about all states, but I know a kid who put blue fog lights on his s10 extreme, a cop pulled him over and made him take them off right on the side of the road. I think they feel that the vehicle can be mistaken for a cop cars lights or something.

i hope that some cop doesn't confiscate my red colored factory tail lenses on my way home from work today
