Unless your bearing clearances have been open up for that Hi-Volume oil pump I would get a stock replacement. I speak from experience, I had tight clearances and put in the hi-volume pump I had way to much pressure over 80psi at cruise with 5w30, I would bury the Autometer Mechanical gauge on start up 100psi!

. I also had gasket leaking problem because it would fill the valve cover with oil whch also caused vacuum and breathing issues. SO when my motr was apart this winter for some changes I went back to a Stock volume Melling pump, man what a difference I still hae great pressure but now it is 70psi on cold start up and I have 58-60 while cruising at operating temp, that hi volume pump is also hell on the distributor and it sheared 3 teeth off my distributor gear which only had 20K miles on it. Going back to the stock pump is also good for 10-15hp across the rpm band so I am told, if you don't need the HV pump, the stock one is just fine, run a good chrome-moly Drive shaft.
