You're gonna need more $$$ for a procharged intercooled long block motor that'll hold 6-700 horses. Probably closer to $6-$7500. And that's just on the long block and blower alone. I know you said short block, but if you are considering a DSS motor, might as well get an assembled longblock from them with the AFRs or Canfields. Just my opinion. DSS offers AFRs and Canfields on their longblocks.
I am currently dealing with DSS right now and they are very patient and have answered a lot of my questions. I've heard nothing but great news about them. Their reputation is very high. Also, a friend of mine is running a DSS 4.6 motor in his Kenne Belle blown Cobra (running 11s) and after running Literally 25 dyno pulls, compression has NOT dropped.
You may also want to check out WynneSpeed. DOnt' know about their reputation though, but they offer a Dart Block long block setup for a few hundred less then DSS.
I would think that 50 lbs injectors is right about where you'd need to be.
I can't see you getting by with 12.5" wide tires without doing something to the body.
