i would say nitrous!
i started on my car by putting a small 50 shot to see what would happen, and now im building a 500+horse nitrous powered pony! it's all about how much your motor can handle. i dont want to push over a 150 shot on my stock crank and rods, but than again i have the forged pistons unlike you. A 75 shot would be a nice addition to the GT.
dont bother with longtube headers, it's really REALLY expensive and the gains just arn't as impressive as another way to spend a grand.
Wet Nitrous kit and a ported bullitt intake is the ultimate combo in my eyes. the manifold will handle backfires unlike the stock one, and nitrous is DA ****!!!
