Ouch, I think you are going to be really upset with tire sizes. The 64-66's don't have much room in there and I don't recall anyone getting 17's in there. I think earlier the discussion I remember was that the 15 inch p235 were pretty much max. Maybe 16 inch. I know I have little old 14 inch p205's and it isn't like there is a ton of room left over. The closest thing to stock size today is the 14 inch p195 so going to 17 inch wheels with big tires is a long long way from this.

Good news is some 9in axles fit just fine. The 55-57 (I think those are the years, real close to this) 9in are direct bolt in. Also the weakest 9in. The versillis Axle is real close and will bolt in, has disk brakes, but has the funny yoke to replace and the calipers are expensive. Of course currie can build exactly what you want.

Weight on these cars was listed at 2488 in 66, but I think that is the 6 cylinder with not a drop of fluid in it. Not real heavy though.
