I wasn't aware there were different springs for convertibles and coupes (it makes sense considering the weight differences). I would go with the springs designed for the convertible. Eibach makes a qaulity product and I would be surprised if were disappointed with the ride height after it was all said and done. Keep in mind the springs actually have a break in period and the car will settle a little lower after a few thousand miles.

I'd recommend against cutting the springs, it's dangerous. I was reading through my Eibach warranty and they recommend against it as well (it actually voids their warranty).
