THe C6 is one of the toughest transmissions you will find. It's big though. There's one in the 82Gt outside behind a 351-C and it is still going strong after 3 years of teenaged lead feet. It doesn't do as well at high rpm as a c-4 but the engine we have doesn't run much past 6000. I've been told that 6 grand is about as high as you'd want to take one and it robs a lot of horsepower getting all that internal mass going and believe me everything inside is BIG. It will fit in a Fox body car though. There was a little hammer work to the transmission tunnel but not much.
