It isn't the 17's alone that require the fender lip to be rolled, but I am pretty sure that when you go with any kind of a rear disk brake conversion, that they have about 3/4" longer axles on each side. So the longer axles combined with the 17" rims require you to roll the fender lips (or so I hear... I haven't tried yet, but I want to be ready when the time comes...) Oh, this is not for the '85! Sorry I didn't clarify that!
Stang_ROTY - thanks for the tip on NOT doing the bat method. I definantly do not want to jack up my car in the process. I appreciate you saving me the heartache of dealing with that! That method never really sounded too scientific to me ;-)
