Talking about Volvo kills reminds me of one of my own... I have a 63 p122s with the 65 horse 4 cylinder(i think that is the rating on them in the book) anyway this was aginast a buddy of mine I worked with at the time and he has a 91 corrola with a Home Depot Cold air kit. One day we left work and caught each other at a light and he threw a rev so i went ahead and ran him i brought the revs way up (don't know where no tach but it sounded like it was coming apart) an did the same type launch i would at the track in my race car well it suprised me it actually hooked(i bent my lower control arm doing this so if you have an old Volvo don't launch it from redline) up i shot about a car in front of him he caught up and passed me probaly around 1/8 mile down the road i laughed i expected him to beat the snot out of me. The really bad part is we live fairly close to each other so we got to top speed run too down the Houston Autobahn well we stayed pretty much side by side till 90 then i started to walk away from him i probaly only hit 100 but that is scary fast with a loose front end in a 40 year old car. I thought he let out of it because he got tired of us just pacing each other basicly. But he didn't he called me when he got home and told me that 90 was as far as it would pull in 4th and when he shifts to 5th it just holds it there until the next overpass and then slows down some. Well we all got a good laugh jackin with him for a few days. You know it was later that week i think that he went out and bought an old falcon and now he wants to make a good street driver out of it and replicate mine to an extent.
