Go with the Vortech. Those older design 9# Powerdynes have had problems with belt breakage (they may have improved this in recent years) which is not even an issue with the Vortech. Plus if you plan on racing at all the Vortech is a must. Powerdyne's have big problems if they're spun past their rpm limit.
