Today, after two years of sitting, my '79 Mustang/Capri runs. Today is the first time it's moved on it's own power in two years. This thing is sweet too. A 302 bored 60 over, 750 holley, edlebrock performer RPM intake, flex-a-lite black magic elec fan, 2 1/2" flowmasters, 2 1/2" offroad H-pipe, shorty headers, 9mm spark plug wires, T5 tranny, 8.8" rear end, new tires, clutch, brakes, I put a '89 front clip on it with the fog lights and the hood, theres more, but can't think of it right now. Soon to have a new paint job.
This thing takes off like a bat out of hell, I have to be careful on startoff because it want to do a really bad wheel hop. Does anyone know how to fix this other then a whole new rear suspension?
A friend of mine now wants the car really bad. When I get everything done, I am going to sell it, and I would like to sell it to him so that I could see it through the years.
Right now all 8 cyl are running 120 psi, I was wondering what compression this is, I was guessing somewhere around 8.5:1. So someone could bolt on a supercharger. Also, does anyone know how much HP a stock GT T5 and 8.8" rear could handle?
I will soon have pics posted!
