Hey Grabber
Hey Grabber,
I sent you a post on another thread. Car is most impressive Sir. I checked most dealers here in my area over the weekend and came up EMPTY. Not even a dealer showroom model to pay a premium on. I WAS ONE DAY LATE! Someone already macked their dealer car. Damn!
Some salesman tried to get me into a Saleen (he needed a Jenn schooling. It appeared he was new to the CAR sales biz... ROFL), but I can't justify the cost. It's special, but not $89,000 special ($72,000 on mark down). Unless Steve Saleen actually torked on the car himself. I'm not buying the cost. The S281E is nice, but hmmmmm. It didn't have the "extreme rainbow" Saleen paint (an $11,500 option...Geez) so, I'm not sure. I did the math on the Saleen website BEFORE I went so I had him! I told him
"Sir, with all due respect, that car is for some Dumb A** rich business man who will buy it because he THINKS it's better then the $61,000.00 base one, with significant options, because in this current day of instantaneous gratification, he will BELIEVE it must be better BECAUSE he pays MORE for it. WRONG!"...your 'mark down' says it all.....Dealer MARK-UP....LOL...Bye, I'll call in a few weeks to see if you have any Mach's in"
Ahhhhh it felt good! Jenn's Ode to all the guys/girls that have been taken by these screws!
How large are the front rotors on that bad boy? 13"???? Nice. Beautiful caliper assembly...(if one can be called that...LOL) I really like the Cobra Caliper/Rotor set up...Soo cute...LOL...
The cowel makes putting a strut tower brace on him a bit difficult. Hope there are some serious sway bars and control arms on that mother! How does he handle in the curves....concrete to asphalt transitions on the road?
Thanks! I take care of my car. Dad (and Mom) brought me up that way. He gets polished about once a month. Detail weekly inside and out. Not as crisp as some show vehicles, but he's clean. I modify him once the OEM parts fail (except springs...badly needed from original production). Just prefer to allow the machine to function as it was engineered and THEN make it better once it goes kaput! Maintain the fluids and service schedule religiously. If FORD said.....then Jenn does. (Lie, well, I never decreased my Tire Pressure in the Explorer's tires. I felt that was the tire mfg's. call.) Don't like the blame game if something fails in their engineering...
Anyway...I think that is a mighty impressive machine you got there. Enjoy. I can only hope one will become available soon. (I have my $ all ready)...
