Default mac shifter

The friendly UPS man came today and he delivered to me an unmarked package. I took it inside and opened it and to my surprise it was the shifter that I asked of my wife for Christmas! Seeing as I was holding it in my hands, she let me install it!

Anyway, on with the review:

It has a nice short throw to it, a much better match to the clutch.

I am using my stock knob and I have to reach a little further to grab the shifter than I did before, I do sit with the seat all the way back (5'11"). Corral.net said that the Tri-ax was closer to you than the MAC and the PRO 5.0 was further away than the MAC.

I like how it pulls itself right over as you take it out of second on it's way to third, it lines right up. All the gears line up nice.

It was also very easy to set the two stops, the set screw stop has an allen head and there is one bolt to lock the set screw.

I didn't use the additional rubber boot that came with it, because it was tight and restricted the movement of the shifter, I want to keep it shifting easy.

That's it, hope the info does some good. Have any questions just ask....

Oh and my wife paid $129 for it at www.50resto.com
